Cameroon Elections 2018 – The Ambazonia Boycott and Its Implications For the People of Southern Cameroons

The time has come to put an end to this. It is not enough to think we must be monochromatic in our thinking because we are all Southern Cameroonians. Right is right and wrong is wrong regardless of the fact that we are all Southern Cameroonians. A government that raises 2 million dollars to create a 200 million+ dollars problem that is borne solely by the victims it claims to represent has failed. PERIOD! We should stop deceiving ourselves that this interim government has the answers. We should stop deceiving ourselves that Biya is a regime propped up by France. The cooperation accords with France expired in 2010 and Biya did not renew them. The oil we keep saying is exploited by France is now owned primarily by the British, Chinese and the Russians. So how does our IG alienate France, ignore the British, Chinese and Russian interests and claim it is doing any work, let alone think? Does the IG realize that this fight has not started and all Biya has been doing is provoking a situation that will suppress opposition votes in the NW and SW, secure a mandate and then accelerate the disintegration of Southern Cameroons? Are the warlords on the internet going to come back to Cameroon to secure territory and fight?

Cameroon Bribes UN Human Rights Centre to Cover its Abuses?

Over the last couple of years, Cameroon has been gradually descending into a state of anarchy. The UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, has visited Cameroon at the heart of the conflict, during which, Cameroonians worldwide held their breath as they hoped and prayed that something positive would happen following the visit. The SG rather left with a gift from the Cameroon Dictator Paul Biya, and never made an official statement about the crisis. The hopes of Cameroonians were again crushed, as it was the case when Biya visited the vatican and met with the Pope.  Efforts by the media outlet, Inner City Press to call on the UN to act and halt the violent crackdown in Cameroon, rather resulted in them being harassed and kicked out of the United Nations. (Click here to Read More)

Ayaba Cho Lucas Allegedly Exposed in Fake London Oil Deal

This scandal, whatever its merits may be, has further deepened the mistrust and rifts that exist between the leaders of the Ambazonia movement. As tensions intensify in Cameroon and as the death toll increases, with the number of internally displaced persons reaching an all time high, it is imperative that there is some semblance of unity of purpose among the front-line leaders.

All Ambazonia Consultative Conference (AACC): How Far – So Far?

While this was clearly an area of disagreement between the major leaders of the Ambazonia revolution, it did not appear to be significant enough to be a call for concern. Everyone was still mildly optimistic that the other issues on which they agreed will carry the revolution forward and that within a short period of time, one will begin to see some signs of this unity, manifesting in the betterment of the situation on the ground for the suffering masses [Click to read More]

Cameroon Military Fights to Maintain their Record in Barbarism

Mercifully, for the man, before he could begin to experience the excruciating pain inflicted on him by the cut, the order is given and many automatic weapons ring out. Listening to it, one would think that the army is attacking another battalion. But no! All those bullets are for one man, helplessly tied to the ground already bleeding and dying. He does not stand a chance.

Why I Can’t Be Silent about School Boycott in English-speaking Cameroon

Malala Yusuf, a little girl from an obscure town in Pakistan, spoke out when a Taliban gun was held to her head. She believed it was better to die than remain uneducated. She took a bullet from the Taliban but the education acquired by the medics at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham UK, saved her. She inspires me today. Because of her, as much as I dread the insults, threats to my life and that of my family, it is nothing compared to what Malala had to endure because she wanted to go to school. So as much as I will want to, I am SORRY, I cannot keep silent on the issue.

Nigeria’s Apostle Johnson Sulaiman Forced by Ambazonians to Make Clarifications on Prophecy

For some unknown reason, Ambazonians construed the message to mean that the prophet was calling them rebels and that his prophesy implied they will be crushed within 7 days. This made them go on the rampage on social media, calling out the prophet on the many prophecies he had made in the past that did not materialise. Despite claiming that he had been called by God to pass on a message specifically to Cameroon by making him a 'Prophet to Cameroon' and stating that he felt Cameroon was his second country after Nigeria, the man of God was not spared by the Ambazonia social media warriors.

Floods in Yaounde-Cameroon Further Expose the Degeneration of the Country

A research I carried out in Ngoundere in the Adamawa region in 2011, established the case of regional inequality along religious lines rather than linguistic ones. The research revealed that the causes of inequality and underdevelopment of Vina in the Adamawa Region are among other things, the absence of the rule of law, poor governance, and the ambivalence of the state towards development.  It comes therefore as no surprise that as Biya is advocating to stand for another seven-year term come October 7, 2018, the level of disdain and challenge for his bid has increased across the length and breadth of the country. It is projected that there might be a nationwide riot in Cameroon should Biya win another term as president.

Cameroon Ruling Party Militant Rejects Biya: Asks Other Party Members to Do Same

Wearing her party uniform and ensuring that Biya's picture was in the background, this lady lamented on how bad the situation in Cameroon is. She decries the fact that Biya has decided to run for another term. To her, this is totally unacceptable. Her reason is not that Biya is incompetent, which would be the blatant truth. She makes the logical argument that at Biya's age, he should be retired and testing at his home in Mvomeka. She explains that given Biya's age, it is most certain that many decisions of State will be taken by others.

Notting Hill Carnival: UK Police Found to be Segregating during ‘Stop & Search’

As images and videos flooded social mediasphere at the peak of the Notting Hill Carnival, it was without much surprise when Anti-War and Human Rights Activist, Maya Evans posted images of Police engaged in Stop and Search. It would have been a routine exercise but for the fact that the targets were mainly young men, aged 25 or below, of Afro-Caribbean backgrounds. Maya goes on to explain that upon speaking to some of the young people, it appeared that many wondered if this was a legal act.

Francophone Activists Turn on the Heat on the Biya Regime & France: Demonstrate in Paris

The demonstrators where unanimous in the condemnation of the brutal massacre of English-Speaking Cameroonians. They were also very vocal in condemning the other atrocities perpetrated by the Biya regime among women and children in other parts of the country. Talking to one of the organisers, he confirmed that they are guided by the principle that by working with others, all oppressed people can easily win against oppression than if they were working on their own. He said this was the beginning of a movement that was hoped will spread across all French-Speaking African countries. Their broad objective is not only to condemn the dictatorships that seem to be more rampant in Francophone Africa, but also to ensure the destruction of the Francs CFA.

The Two-State Federation Flag

Video Evidence of Fon Gorji-Dinka Acknowledging that a Treaty was Signed between Southern Cameroons and French Cameroun

This question seems to have been answered by a video in which Fon Gorj-Dinka acknowledges that there actually was a Treaty of Foumban. In this video, Gorji-Dinka can be heard quoting article one of that treaty. According to him, it is the treaty that gave rise to the Two-State Federation. It is very logical, therefore, to conclude that there actually was an agreement between the two Cameroons, which was breached by Amadou Ahidjo in 1972.

Ambazonia Defence Forces (ADF) killed by Cameroon military

As Cameroon’s Military & Civilians Kill Each Other, Biya Wins

With the current war situation, Biya is using one stone to shoot two birds. He is hoping that the military with their superior weapons and training will kill off any form of resistance from the English-speaking agitators. Secondly Biya hopes that the conflict will serve as a distraction should he win the elections on October 7.  The level of agitation among Francophone activists who are also disgruntled with Biya's barren 36 years in power, is expected to increase over the coming weeks and might explode with a win.

7 Things that the All Ambazonia Consultative Council (AACC) – Holding in Washington DC, Need to Address

2. Announce School Resumption: It is common knowledge that Anglophone kids have been going to school in many parts of the North West and South West, especially in the urban areas. However, given that there is no official declaration from the revolutionary leaders that schools should resume, everytime a child goes out, they are at risk. However, some children, especially those from poorer backgrounds, have lost two years of studies. Children from affluent families have been sent over to cities East of the Mungo or sent abroad, where they are studying in peace. The paradox of this situation is that the kids making the most sacrifice - by not going to school - will be the ones who will have no place in a new dispensation. Be it a Federation or a New State, no one is going to employ kids who never went to school. Hence, those who made the sacrifices will remain slaves to the educated ones who made no sacrifices. This approach runs the risk of replicating the South African situation, whereby Freedom arrived but the critical mass of the population was incapable of taking leadership and control of their country, thereby effectively handing it back to the oppressors. Also, depriving children of education has no impact on Biya's Regime, as they do not care about the education of children in the first place. Finally, it is only the Taliban or Boko Haram that use the deprivation of children from schooling as a political tool.

From Switzerland to Music: Kemta Haunts Biya, Tells Anglophones Not to Give Up Their Quest for Freedom

In his latest release titled Don't Give Up, Kemta captures the short history of the current phase of the Anglophone crisis. He highlights that although some are asking for Federalism and some Separation, the bottom line is that, everyone wants Biya to go. Also, speaking on behalf of CODE, Kemta in this piece, demands that the Cameroon military stop the genocide it is carrying out in the Anglophone Regions. He further makes the declaration that Biya is wrong to tag Anglophone fighters as 'terrorists' given that they are simply engaged in legitimate self-defense.  A Cameroonian of Francophone extraction, Kemta has been among one of the most vocal activists challenging the gradual and systematic extermination of English-Speaking Cameroonians. He has been part of many demonstrations organised in the United Kingdom. (Click to read full article)
